Are Ibn Ishaq & Ibn Kathir Reliable?

Islamophobic Christians are fond of quoting stories from books written by historians like Ibn Ishaq & Ibn Kathir without realizing that Muslims don't consideer these stories sahih (=authentic). In both Islam & Christianity, the religious sources of information are divided into two categories: (i) Sahih or Canonical sources (ii) Apocryphal or Non-canonical sources. Will Christians accept any claim made by a source that they consider apocryphal? For example, Would Christians accept a claim about Jesus made by Jewish Talmud? No, Christians will not.

Once an Islamophobic Christian on YouTube quoted a fabricated story about Prophet Mohamed taken from one of the books of historian Ibn Ishaq. Do you know what my reply was to that Islamophobic Christian? I told him that I would consider accepting the fabricated story about Prophet Mohamed IF he accepts the claim of Talmud about Jesus that "Jesus is in hell, being boiled in hot excrement." (Gittin 57a). Do you know how that Christian responded to my proposed mutual agreement? That Christian got mad at me and started swearing at me and my Prophet like a teen. Who knows maybe he was indeed a teen.

Quran and Semen Production

Deltassippi: Quran 86:7 says semen comes from the ribs and backbone. Medical science tells us semen comes from prostate gland. Therefore, Quran is wrong & cannot be God’s word.

Hu Wen: Let’s do a word for word translation of Quran 86:7 to see if it really says semen comes from the ribs and backbone. Below is a word for word translation of 86:7-

يَخْرُجُ مِن بَيْنِ الصُّلْبِ وَالتَّرَائِبِ

يَخْرُجُ = come out/go out
مِن = from
بَيْنِ = between
الصُّلْبِ = steel/loin
وَ = and
التَّرَائِبِ = ribs

Correct translation: “[Ejected fluid] go out [of the body] from between [the area of] ribs and loin” – Quran 86:7

Some translators mistranslated the Arabic word “الصُّلْبِ” as backbone. But the word “الصُّلْبِ” doesn’t mean backbone in Arabic. It can either mean “steel” or “loin”. The reason “loin” is appropriate in this verse instead of “steel” is that the verse is talking about human body and organs. Loin is a noun and it means “the region of the sexual organs” which is from the lowest ribs to hipbones. We know that male genital (penis) ejects semen at the time of orgasm. And male genital (penis) is literally located in the area of human body that is in between loin & ribs. Therefore, Quran is right.

References:

86:5- So let man observe what he was created from.
86:6- He was created from an ejected fluid
86:7- which comes out from between the loin and ribs.

Why Doesn't God Save Muslims?

Recently a brother by the name of Abdullah asked me a question on one of my blog titled "Revive Deen Islam". That brother asked: "Why God doesn't save the good people or the Muslims from the crime?" I have decided to share the answer to this question with all of you because many of you may have this question. Finding no answers or finding unsatisfactory answers to the questions you have about Islam may lead you to disbelief. This is why it is important to have your questions answered by the people of knowledge. I am not a religious scholar but I have studied religions to a limited extent to be able to answer some common questions many people have about Islam.

God promises victory to Muslim Ummah IF they bite the Quran & Sunnah with their molar teeth. Do you remember the Battle of Badr? Didn't God give victory to Muslim Ummah? God did but 13 companions of Prophet (sw) were martyred in this battle. You may ask why God didn't save those 13 companions of Prophet (sw) who were martyred. You may ask why God didn't save the lives of many Israelite Prophets murdered by Jews as both Quran & Bible state. The answer is simple. God doesn't promise to save lives of individual Muslims in battles. God only promises to give victory to Muslims as a whole known as "Muslim Ummah". But that doesn't mean God has no compassion for the lives of individual Muslims who die in the way of God. God promises them paradise. As Muslims, we believe our lives & deaths are pre-destined. When a martyr is shown his/her place in paradise at the time of his/her death, the martyr has no regret to for giving up his/her life. We don't deserve paradise because of our good deeds. Because our good deeds are limited but rewards in paradise are unlimited. We don't deserve eternal life in paradise even if we give up our life in the way of God a million times, let alone just once. It is the absolute mercy of God upon us for giving us paradise for giving up our lives just for once. Hope that helps, brother Abdullah.

Looking at the Opposite Sex is Haram

A Saudi Islamic scholar named Haitham al-Haddad was invited to a TV show and he accepted the invitation on the conditions that no female panelist will be present at the discussion table. However, during the panel discussion, the host accused Mr. Haitham for treating women as inferior to men by denying their rights to sit together with male panelists and talk to them face to face. Note that, in Islam, men and women are not supposed to sit together and exchange glances (The Quran 24:30-31). If there is a female-only panel discussion, men panelists are not allowed to sit together with female panelists and talk to them face to face. This works both ways for both men and women. And it is not a discrimination against one gender or treating one gender as superior or inferior to the other.

Moreover, the host of the show breached the condition of Mr. Haitham al-Haddad and put a female panelist at the desk selected from the audience to debate Mr. Haitham al-Haddad. That female panelist claimed Islamic Sharia is wrong about treating men and women “differently”. That female panelist and one Islamophobic male panelist claimed men and women should have the same rights and should be treated in the same way, NOT in different ways. Note that Islam gives men and women “different rights” in “different areas” of their lives based on the physical and psychological differences they have. In one area of life, women may have greater rights than men but lesser rights than men in another area.

Let me ask a question to those who believe men and women should be treated in the same way despite of the physical and psychological differences they have. Let’s say there is a fire in a high-rise building and an immediate evacuation is absolutely necessary to save the lives of occupants of the building. And let’s say fire fighters leaned a ladder against the building and asked the occupants of the building to climb the ladder down to the ground. How many of you think children and women will be the first ones to be selected to climb down the ladder to the ground? And why do you think the reason why children and ladies are the first ones to climb down the ladder? Because children and women are both physically and psychologically more vulnerable than men.

Beard & Niqab are Obligatory

Muhammad: Man of Faith or Doubt?

Allegations: Quran 10:94 tells Prophet Mohamed that he must check with the People of the Book (Jews & Christians) if he doubts God’s words in the Quran. This proves: (i) Prophet Mohamed doubted God’s words in the Quran and (ii) Quran instructs Prophet Mohamed to listen to the People of the Book.

Reference:

“If you are in doubt as to what we have revealed to you, ask those who read the Book before you; certainly the truth has come to you from your Lord, so never be among the doubters. And never be of those who deny the signs of God and [thus] be among the losers.” (Quran 10:94-95)

Answer to the allegation that Prophet Mohamed doubted God’s words in the Quran:

Quran 10:94 does NOT say Prophet Mohamed doubted God’s words in the Quran. It says “IF are you in doubt about what I have revealed to you, then ask the People of the Book.” The conditional particle IF indicates that Prophet Mohamed should ask the People of the Book if he is in doubt. BUT if Prophet Mohamed is not in doubt, then he does not need to ask the People of the Book.

Now the question is: Was Prophet Mohamed in doubt about what God has revealed to him in Quran? There are many Quran verses that make it clear that Prophet Mohamed was not a doubter in God’s revelation. I will just touch upon a few verses to prove the case.

Example One:

In the Battle of Badr, 313 Muslims fought against 1,000 pagans. The night before the before the Battle of Badr, Prophet Mohamed begged God for help realizing it was impossible for 313 outnumbered Muslims to defeat 1,000 pagans without the help from God. God heard the prayer of Prophet Mohamed and sent down revelation saying he would help Muslims. Prophet Mohamed believed in God’s revelation and gave glad tidings of God’s help to his companions before the Battle of Badr took place. The two verses summarize the incident:

·         “[Remember] when you asked help of your Lord, and He answered you, "Indeed, I will reinforce you with a thousand from the angels, following one another." (Quran 8:9).

·         “[Remember] when you said to the believers, ‘Is it not sufficient for you that your Lord should reinforce you with three thousand angels sent down?’ ” (Quran 3:124)

To sum up, if Prophet Mohamed was a doubter in God’s revelation, he would not believe God’s promise to send down angles to reinforce Muslims in the Battle of Badr.

Example Two:

The Quran says Prophet Mohamed used to grieve for disbelievers realizing that disbelievers would extremely suffer hereafter for doubting the Quran. If Prophet Mohamed himself was a doubter in the Quran, then Prophet Mohamed wouldn’t grieve for disbelievers for their doubts in the Quran. Prophet Mohamed’s action proves he didn’t doubt the Quran. The following verses shows Prophet Mohamed felt sorry for doubters in the Quran.

·         Perhaps you are going to grief to death if they do not believe in this narration” (18:6)

·         God does not guide the disbelieving people. Do not grieve over the disbelieving people (5:67- 68)

·         “And whenever a chapter is revealed, they turn away. God has turned away their hearts because they are a people who do not understand. A Messenger from your own people has come to you. Your destruction and suffering is extremely grievous to him. He really cares about you and is very compassionate and merciful to the believers. (9:127-128)

One may ask why God tells Prophet Mohamed “If you are in doubt...” if Prophet Mohamed was not a doubter. First, we have already seen that Quran verses prove Prophet Mohamed was a believer, NOT a doubter. Therefore, the statement “If you are in doubt...” is a rhetorical statement. We have seen that often God uses rhetorical questions and statements in the Quran. For example:

·         "Can there be doubt about God, the creator of the heavens and earth?” (Quran 14:10)

·         “So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?” (Quran 55:38)

·         Call upon your helpers beside God, if you are truthful. (2:23)

·         O Jinn and mankind, if you can penetrate the diameters of the heavens and the earth, do so, but you cannot do so without power and authority. (55:33)

A rhetorical question is asked in order to make a point rather than to elicit an answer. And a rhetorical statement is used to make an argument more meaningful or persuasive. God knows Prophet Mohamed does not doubt the revelation. The reason God uses rhetorical statement “If you are in doubt...” is to emphasize the truthfulness of his revelation.

One may further ask: Why God would tell Prophet Mohamed not to be a doubter and denier (10:95), if he wasn’t a doubter and denier? Note that we have already proven that Prophet Mohamed was not a doubter or denier. Why does God tell Prophet Mohamed not to be a doubter and denier then? God wants to give Prophet Mohamed advices. That’s all. An advice is guidance or recommendations concerning careful future action, typically given by someone regarded as knowledgeable or authoritative. Note that you do not tell an alcoholic person not to be an alcoholic. You tell him/her to quit alcohol. On the other hand, you advice a non-alcoholic person never to be an alcoholic. Prophet Mohamed was neither a doubter nor a denier.

Answer to the allegation that Quran instructs Prophet Mohamed to listen to the People of the Book:

As mentioned earlier, Prophet Mohamed was not a doubter in Quran. Therefore, asking People of the Book (Jews & Christians) to check if Quran speaks the truth is completely irrelevant. The relevancy of asking People of the Book only comes up IF Prophet Mohamed was not a doubter in Quran which he was not. Doubters in the Quran are losers will go to hell hereafter.

Why Islam?

Below are the reasons why atheists should believe in God & choose Islam over other religions:

1) Becoming a theist is the first step toward choosing a religion. The Quran says neither the universe created itself nor did it come from nothing. God says-“Were they created by nothing, or were they themselves the creators? Or did they create the Heavens and the earth? Nay, but they are not sure that their belief is true” (Quran 52:35-36). It’s really interesting that the modern theory of a self-created universe that supposedly came into existence from nothing didn’t exist when the Quran was revealed. But the author of the Quran sensed that people would come up with such an absurd theory in future. But what I find more interesting is that the part where God says “...they (atheists) are not sure that their belief is true”. Modern atheists admit that they don’t know for sure how the universe came into existence. What atheists claim is that there is no need to bring a God into the scenario to explain how the universe came into existence. The author of the Quran was right about atheists 1,400 years ago and the author of the Quran is right about atheists today. Atheists
are not sure that their belief is true. This statement made by the author of the Quran applies to both ancient and modern atheists.

2) Islam is the only monotheistic religion on earth. Polytheism doesn't make sense. God says-"Had there been within the heavens and earth gods besides God, they both would have been ruined (because they would fight each other). So exalted is God, Lord of the Throne, above what they describe" (Quran21:22). If we look into the polytheistic religions such as Hinduism & Greek Paganism, we see that their scriptures claim Gods are in constant battles with each other over the control of the universe. But we cannot see Gods fighting each other in real life. This proves there are not multiple Gods as polytheistic religions claim or we would have seen Gods fighting each other. This also proves the Quran that God must be one, NOT multiple.

3) A falsification test appears in the Quran. The author of the Quran challenges the disbelievers to prove their belief that the Quran is not from God. No other religious scripture on earth can stand the challenge of a falsification test except the Quran. God says-"Then do they not reflect upon the Quran? If it had been from [any] other than God, they would have found within it much contradiction" (Quran 4:82). God says-"And if you are in doubt about what We have sent down upon Our Servant [Muhammad], then produce a chapter the like thereof and call upon your witnesses other than God, if you should be truthful" (Quran 2:23). Disbelievers failed to meet the challenge of the author of the Quran till today.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWFIS0LCKy0

4) All religions say God is all-knowledgeable. If God is all-knowledgeable, then he can't give us misinformation. Modern science confirms the accurateness of many things described in the Quran. Quran is a 1400 year old book. Science was not well developed when the Quran was revealed. If the Quran was from human but not from God, then we would find countless errors in it.

Pagan Origins of Islam

Once I had a conversation with a Christian on YouTube about the Kaba and the black stone next to Kaba. Below is the transcription of our conversation:

Jerry: Muslims are pagans because they worship the black stone next to Kaba. That black stone is an idol because Muslims kiss that stone. Muslims believe that black stone takes away the sin of whoever kisses it and becomes darker as a consequence of absorbing people’s sin.

Hu: First, nowhere in the Quran or in the hadith does it say the stone absorbs/takes away the sin whoever kisses it. But for the sake of the argument, let’s say the stone absorbs/takes away sins from the people who kiss it. Does it make that stone a god? No, it doesn't. The stone absorbs/takes away sin from people like Jesus did according to Christianity. But it doesn't forgive the sin. Only god can forgive the sin. Both black stone & Jesus take away other people's sin & place other people's sin on their own shoulder. The stone is turned black by God for taking away people's sin & placing people's sin on its own shoulder. Jesus was sentenced to death by God for taking away people's sin & placing people's sin on his own shoulder.

If I ask the judge to let you go free & punish me for your crime, do I become the judge? The answer is “No”. If the judge sentences me for your crime since I volunteered to place your crime on my shoulder, do I become the judge? The answer is “No”. This is basic common sense.

Prophet's companion Umar makes it clear that neither the stone is a partner of God nor it can benefit or harm Muslims (e.g., taking away sin/giving out sins). (Sahih Bukhari 2:667)

Secondly, Muslims don’t associate that stone with God as his partner by kissing it. Kissing something is not synonymous with associating that thing with God as his partner. Muslims kiss that stone because Prophet Muhummud kissed it. Muslims love it because Prophet Muhummud loved it. Muslims love what Prophet Muhummud loves. Muslims hate what Prophet Muhummud hates. Muslims follow the footsteps of Prophet Muhummud. We kiss the things we love. For example, our holy books, parents, wives, children, wedding ring, trophy, gold medal, and I can go on and on. Do we associate these things with God as his partners by kissing them? The answer is “No”.

Thirdly, you don't understand the definition of an idol in religious terminology. An idol is an image or statue of God that represents God. For example, Christians, Greeks, Hindus, & Buddhists are idol worshipers because they draw images and make statues of their Man God Jesus, Zeus, Rama, and Buddha. Islamic God Allah is an intangible being who is unlike all things in the creation (Quran 42:11 & 112:4). Therefore, we can't point our finger at anything in the creation (e.g., trees, stones, animals, humans) and say that thing looks like Allah or represents Allah.

Jerry: Kaba was built by pagans.

Hu: Kaba was renovated/rebuilt many times after it collapsed due to wars and natural disasters. It was renovated multiple times before prophet's birth, one time at the time of prophet & one time after prophet's death. But the Kaba was first built by Abraham & Ishmael as Quran confirms it.  The Kaba that we see today is not the same Kaba that was constructed by Abraham & Ishmael. But we still have one of the stones reserved that was used by Abraham & Ishmael to build the Kaba. That stone is called "black stone" today. Muslim holy site Kaba was built about 4000 years ago by Abraham & Ishmael. Judaeo-Christian holy site temple Mount was built by Moses about 3000 years ago. Subtract 3000 from 4000. Its 1000. Islam is at least 1000 years older than Judaeo-Christian religion.

Jerry: Who placed that black stone in the east side of Kaba? Why Mohamed destroyed all other 360 idols and left the black stone? Are you aware that Kaba was an idol worshiping place in the past? Before Islam, idol worshippers used to circle 7 times around the Kaba and then they kiss the stone. Islam made Kaba a holy place when idol worshipers were there before Islam.

Hu: You asked who placed that black stone in the east side of Kaba. God ordered Prophet Abraham to build a house of God (mosque) in Mecca. Prophet Abraham asked God which location he should build it at. In response, God sent a stone down from the heaven and ordered Prophet Abraham to build the house of God where the stone landed. Prophet Abraham and his son Prophet Ishmael built a house of God (mosque) where the stone landed. The mosque is called Kaba. That stone is the “foundation stone” of Kaba. This stone helps Muslims to count the number of times they circle around the Kaba. Muslims start circumambulating Kaba from the point where the stone is located. Each time Muslims pass that stone during their circumambulation, they add one to their count on their fingers. Thus, Muslims circumambulate Kaba for seven times.

You asked why Prophet (sw) destroyed all 360 idols but left the stone. People of Mecca stored 360 statues of their pagan Gods in Kaba. Prophet (sw) destroyed all 360 statues because they were idols. Prophet (sw) didn’t destroy that stone because that stone was not an idol (neither an image nor a statue of a pagan God).

You asked if I am aware that Kaba was an idol worshiping place before Islam. Kaba was the first house of God (mosque) on earth built by Prophet Abraham and his son Prophet Ismael (The Quran 22:26, 22:26-27). Prophet Abraham was a Muslim, not a pagan (The Quran 3:67). The people of Mecca were the direct descendants of Prophet Abraham and Prophet Ismael. Prophet Abraham and Prophet Ismael taught their children the monotheistic religion Islam. But over centuries, their descendants (people of Mecca) adopted pagan beliefs and became pagans. They turned the Kaba from a mosque into a pagan temple. They built statues of Allah and pagan Gods they associated Allah with. They drew images of their forefathers Prophet Abraham and his son Prophet Ismael. They stored these statues and images in the Kaba (Sahih Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 55, Number 571). Prophet re-occupied the Kaba from pagans, emptied the Kaba by kicking out all statues and images pagans stored in it, and turned it back into a mosque again.

You asked if I am aware that Idol worshippers used to circle around the Kaba and kiss the stone before Islam. Circumambulating Kaba was introduced by Prophet Abraham because God ordered him to do so (The Quran 2:125). Pagans didn’t invent circumambulation of Kaba. Kissing the stone was introduced by Prophet Muhummud. In pre-Islamic Arabia, pagans took good care of that stone since it was the foundation stone of Kaba but they never used to kiss it. No hadiths or historians ever mentioned that pagans used to kiss it. As I mentioned before, we kiss things we love. Prophet Muhummud loved that stone because that stone was sent from heaven by God. Muslims love what Prophet Muhummud loves. Muslims follow the footsteps of Prophet Muhummud. This is why Muslims kiss that stone. As I mentioned earlier, taking good care of something or kissing something out of love is not synonymous with associating that thing with God as his partner. Instead, making statues of something or drawing something believing that thing represents God and asking those statues for help is synonymous with associating partners with God.

Jerry: You bow down to Kaba and pray. Kaba is your idol.

Hu: We bow down to Kaba and pray to God, NOT to Kaba. Kaba is a house of God (Mosque). Muslims are allowed to pray inside the Kaba too. Kaba is a small mosque with two doors – one for entrance and the other for exit. Bible allows praying to God bowing down towards God’s house (Psalm 138:2).

Jerry: I like the part that the Arabs, the descendants of Ismael became pagans over centuries. Lol.

Hu: A century is a pretty long time. They didn’t become pagans when Prophet Ismael was with them alive. After he passes away, his descendants forgot his teachings and adopted pagan beliefs. Jews, the descendants of Isaac made higher score in becoming pagans than Arabs, the descendants of Ismael. Jews became pagans even when Prophet Moses was alive among them. When Prophet Moses departed Jews and ascended Mount Sinai only for forty days, Jews became pagans. They built the statue of a golden calf and preached that golden calf was Allah (Exodus 32:7-8).

Muhammed Sex with Dead Aunt in Grave

Wood: Hadith book Kanz Al Umal says Prophet Mohamed had sex with his dead aunt!

Hu: First of all, the hadith book called "Kanz Al Umal" authored by an Indian Muslim scholar by the name of Al-Muttaqi Al-Hindi is not certified as authentic (sahih) by Muslims. Secondly, the hadith book says Prophet Mohamed lay with her aunt in her grave to lessen the pressure of the grave. The Arabic word اضطجعت (Id'tajat) means “to lie, recline, or repose”. The word اضطجعت (Id'tajat) doesn’t mean “to have sex” as many Christian apologists claim who are ignorant in Arabic language.

Wood: I am not ignorant in Arabic language. I do know the word “Id'tajat” generally means to lie down. But the word "Id'tajat” is often used to mean "to have sex" too. For example, in English, the word “sleep” generally means “to rest with eyes closed”. But the word “sleep” is often used to mean "to have sex" too when you add the preposition “with”.

Hu: You are confusing two different Arabic words that have the same root because you are ignorant in Arabic language. The word ضاجع (daja) is used to mean lying down with someone in a sexual sense. And the word اضطجعت (Id'tajat) is used to mean lying down with someone in a non-sexual sense.

You compared the English word “sleep” with the Arabic word اضطجعت (Id'tajat). I have already explained above why your comparison was wrong. You claimed sleeping with someone means to have sex with someone. I don’t think so. Let me tell you why. When you say you slept with your mother last night, no one assumes you had sex with your mother last night because your mother is your unmarriagable kin. Even if the hadith used the word ضاجع (daja) instead of the word اضطجعت (Id'tajat), that wouldn’t mean Prophet Mohamed had sex with his aunt because his aunt is his unmarriagable kin. Prophet Mohamed’s aunt Fatima bint Asad looked after him when he lost his mother at the age of 6. Prophet’s aunt Fatima bint Asad (who was also the mother of Ali Ibn Abi Talib) was considered as a mother like figure by Prophet Mohamed.

Prophet Mohamed often said about his aunt Fatima bint Asad: “I was an orphan and she made me her son. She was the kindest person to me after Abu Talib.” When the grave was made ready, Muhammad, the Messenger of God, entered it; he lay down in it, and said: “O God! Life and death are in Thy hands. Thou alone will never die. Bless my mother, Fatima bint Asad, and give her a mansion in Heaven. Thou art the Most Merciful.” When Fatima bint Asad was buried, Muhammad Mustafa repeated Allah-o-Akbar (God is Great) forty times, and prayed: “O God! Put her in the Light, and fill her heart with Light.”

Why Did God Order the Destruction of Nations?

A BBC documentary film on YouTube narrates how an Italian city called Pompeii was destroyed in the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD killing inhabitants of the city. I commented on that video: “An evil and adulterous generation was destroyed by God”. Some religious folks – both Christians and Muslims thumbed my comment up which made some of atheist folks really angry. These atheist folks ganged up against me and started debating me on God’s justice. They claimed when Mount Vesuvius was erupted, it killed both good and evil inhabitants of the city. They claimed it’s not fair if a God kills the innocent people in a city because of the sin of sinful people in the city. Keep in mind that the topic of their debate with me was not whether God was a mythical character or not. The topic of their debate with me was whether the supposed mythical God the religious people believe in was just in the stories the scriptures narrate.

Below is my conversation with those atheists:

Matthew Willams: Not every person in Pompeii was evil and adulterous. You believe children are innocent, right? Did babies in their cradles deserve to die? Did unborn children of pregnant women deserve to die? Did innocent babies deserve to die because their parents screwed? Why would God kill off all of the innocent people with the evil ones? How is it fair? You believe God is fair, right?

Hu Wen: Death isn't the end of your existence. Death is the door to the other side. Good people desire death because life on the other side is better than worldly life for them. But bad people don't desire death because life on the other side is worse than worldly life for them. Kids that died will have a better life in heaven on the other side. Adulterous that died will have a worse life in hell on the other side. So stop complaining unless you are adulterer and scared to go to hell.

Richard Mahn: Do you really think all the babies in Pompeii deserved to die because their parents screwed around? Quit your faith before it harms you.

Hu Wen: Babies are considered innocents by religions because they are not old enough to commit sin. Atheists don't believe babies are innocent. So stop shedding crocodile tears for babies died in Pompeii. Atheists consider babies depended animals, BUT not innocent humans like religions do. Got that?

As i mentioned earlier, if a baby dies, s/he goes to heaven. Heavenly life is better than worldly life. And life in hell is worse than worldly life.

Your presupposition that death is a punishment for both good and bad people is wrong. Death is a reward for good people & punishment for bad people. Because good people go to heaven after death & bad people go to hell after death. When a natural disaster comes upon a village and takes away the lives of all villagers, it is good for righteous villagers and bad for sinful villagers. Because righteous villagers will enter heaven and sinful villagers will enter hell after their death. Thus, God accomplish two objectives by a single action. He rewards righteous villagers & punishes sinful villagers by sending a natural deserter upon them to end their lives.

The interesting thing is atheists don't deny that the death is the end of human sufferings on earth although they don't believe in afterlife. The secular Western world promotes euthanasia for terminally ill people or anyone who wants to commit suicide in the name of "Freedom to choose". The word euthanasia comes from the Greek: εὐθανασία (good death). Therefore, we see that even atheists praise the killing of human beings to end their sufferings.

We, religious people condemn euthanasia because we believe the God is the giver of life so he has the right to take away the life. I am not the giver of life so I can't take away your life. Hope that helps you understands religious view on it. Let me know if you have further questions.

Rob Bowes: I'm sorry to break this to you Hu Wen, but your brain is broken. you are proclaiming your happiness for the death of thousands. You cannot do anything to harm me for saying it and I will continue to say it until the day I die and don't meet your angry and vengeful version of God.

Hu Wen: You said to me: “You are proclaiming your happiness for the death of thousands”.  Let me tell you a true story, Rob. Once an atheist asked a Christian lady why she cried when her mother passed away when she believed her mother would go to paradise after her death which was a thousand times better than this worldly life. That atheist was smarter than you because he understood it was good for a righteous person to die rather than continue living in this miserable world, if the heaven really existed. Yes, I am happy for the death of righteous people (if there was any) of Pompeii because they will have better life after their death. Simultaneously, I am sadden by the death of righteous people (if there was any) of Pompeii because I will miss them. Let me help you understand how a person can be happy and sad at the same time. Let’s say a son is leaving his mother from a poor African country to the United States, the land of the opportunities. The mother is happy because her son will have a way better life in the United States. But at the same time she is sad because her son is going to leave her and she will miss her son’s presence.

I said death was good for good people. Why don't you go and ask a religious Christian if s/he is scared to die. s/he will say no because s/he believes s/he will meet Jesus in heaven and have a life there that is at least one thousand times better than this worldly life full of hunger, depression, crime, diseases, pollution, and this list continues forever but you still don't get it and scratch your head and ask “Why?”. Pathetic.

You said to me: “You cannot do anything to harm me for saying it and I will continue to say it until the day I die and don't meet your angry and vengeful version of God”. The time of your death is predetermined by God. You will not die a second before or after that. You should be sacred to die because if you are an atheist. Theists are not scared to die because they believe a thousand times better life in heaven is waiting for them on the other side. Hope this helps you to understand the religious viewpoint. Take care of yourself.

Was Prophet Mohammed a Robber?

Jim:  Prophet Mohamed was a bandit. He attacked innocent caravans and robbed their property in the Southwest of Medina.

John: You don't understand the definition of "rob", Jimmy. Rob doesn't mean "taking things from others". it means "taking things from others ILLEGALLY or UNLAWFULLY”. Meccans took the property of Muslims unlawfully. So it was lawful for Muslims to get their robbed property back. For example, let’s say a robber took your Smartphone away from you in the street at gunpoint yesterday. If you find that robber in the street tomorrow and take back your Smartphone from him at gunpoint, then it’s not robbery but justice.

Meccans (people of Mecca) robbed the property of Muslims & kicked them out of Mecca for accepting Islam. Then Meccans decided to sell the robbed property of Muslims to Syrians. So Meccans loaded caravans with robbed property of Muslims and started their journey to Syria.

The news reached Meccan Muslims in Medina who were previously robbed and kicked out of Mecca by Meccan pagans. Meccan companions of Prophet Mohamed who were robbed and kicked out of Mecca asked him for his permission to attack the caravans and get the robbed property back. Prophet Mohamed asked God whether he is allowed to permit his companions to retaliate. God reveled the following in response to Prophet Mohamed’s question: "Permission [to fight] has been given to those who are being fought, because they were wronged. And indeed, God is competent to give them victory" (Quran 22:39).

Prophet Mohamed asked of his Medinan companies to know their decision about whether to help their Meccan Muslim brothers to attack the caravans and getting the robbed property back. Prophet Mohamed’s Medinan companions replied-"We will not say to you as Jews said to Moses: “Go you and your Lord fight”. Instead we will fight on your right and on your left and in front of you and behind you." Upon hearing this, Prophet Muhamed’s face got bright with happiness.

God was pleased to hear this reply too. So God reveled the good news that he would reinforce Muslims with 1,000 angles ranks after ranks to fight thousands of Meccan soldiers who were guarding the caravans loaded with robbed property: "Remember when you called on your Lord for help and He responded to you: I will reinforce you with a thousand angels riding rank after rank" (Quran 8:9)

Thousands of Meccan soldiers equipped with advanced weaponries of that time confronted 313 Muslims. Muslims did not even have a sword for each of them, let alone any advanced weaponries. Moreover, Muslims didn’t have enough animals to ride on, so every two Muslims were sharing one camel back. But on the other hand, each of the thousands of soldiers was riding a horse by himself. Muslims were clearly outnumbered by infidels and had very few weaponries but they had full trust in God. Muslims were granted victory by God for not their numbers or weapons but their absolute trust in God. This battle is a historical proof of Prophet Mohamed’s prophethood.
