Does God Forgive All Sins?

Muslim Convert: My dad died as a Christian. Will God forgive his sin if he repents hereafter?

Abdullah: God forgives all sins if sinners make repentance. Sinners must make repentance before they die. A person’s repentance will not be accepted after he dies. This earthly life is a test for us. Every test is time bound. A student is not allowed to write or edit his/her exam paper when time is up. A student must put his/her pen down when time is up. Your father will not be able to make repentance hereafter.

Indeed, those who disbelieve and DIE AS DISBELIEVERS - never would the [whole] capacity of the earth in gold be accepted from one of them if he would [seek to] ransom himself with it. For those there will be a painful punishment, and they will have no helpers. (Quran 3:91)

Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said- “God accepts the repentance of his servant so long as death has not reached his collar bone.”
