Why God Sends Good People to Hell?

Atheist: Why would God send good people to hell just because they don't believe he exists?

Muslim: Before I answer you, tell me what you understand by believing in the existence of God.

Atheist: Believing in the existence of God simply means believing God exists.

Muslim: No, my friend. Its meaning is broader than you think. Believing in God means believing in the divine revelation God sent. And believing in the divine revelation God sent means to follow God's commandments. The question you should have asked is -- "Why would God send good people to hell for not following his commandments?"

Atheist: Okay, tell me why God send good people go to hell if they don't follow his commandments?

Muslim: God doesn't send good people to hell, my friend. What makes a person good? Following God's commandments makes a person good.

Atheist: Wrong! Doing good works makes a person good.

Muslim: God only commends us to do good works. Therefore, following God's commandments makes a person good.

Atheist: Wrong! God commends people to do a lot of bad things.

Muslim: For example?

Atheist: God commends to murder men, rape women, kill homosexuals, and so on.

Muslim: You're talking about Bible, my friend. I'm a Muslim. Quran never commends us to kill and rape innocent people.

Atheist: Okay, but why do we need God to make a list of good works and order us to do them when we know what the good works are?

Muslim: People always differ about good works, my friend. Therefore, we need God to make a list of good works and order us to do them. For example, God said prostitution was bad. Some people did not believe God and started prostitution. Eventually the understood God was right when they got HIV/AIDS.

Atheist: But I do not believe God exists.

Muslim: You may call God a mythical being but you have to admit that mythical being is just and fair.
